August 27 2010

Four colleagues from Midcounties Co-operative are set to take a 244-mile cycle ride from London to Paris.

Accountant Jenny Brown; Bryan Cranston, maintenance manager for Midcounties Property Group; Pat Kiely, property manager; and IT manager Sheridan Hindle hope to raise £5,600 for the society’s charity partner Help the Hospices, the leading charity supporting hospice care throughout the UK.

Mr Cranston said: “We thought this was a great way of challenging ourselves and raising money for a good cause. It will be tough, but it should be fun too.

“The plan is to cycle from London to Portsmouth where we will get the ferry to Caen and then head for Paris. The ride ends at the Eiffel Tower where we will all enjoy a celebratory drink.”
