August 25 2010

A duty manager at Lincolnshire Co-operative’s Sutton on Trent store has won a national award and is now preparing to jet off to Atlanta to present his work to a panel of international retailers.

Alex Ho is the winner of the 2010 Association of Convenience Stores UK Achievement Award.  To win the award, Alex wrote a 4,000 word essay about how technology is enhancing the customer experience and presented his work to a panel of judges made up of industry leaders in London.

Now, he is getting ready for the Global Convenience Industry Achievement Award finals, which will be held in Atlanta in October. He will be competing against entrants from New Zealand and Canada for the international honour.
